Hey, it’s been a while.
We’re still around, though many of us haven’t the time or the interest to keep playing TFC on a competitive basis. We’ve got work, school, other games..
Despite this, we’re still pretty active. The private channel has conversation pretty much all the time (busiest in the evenings). There are often group raids into various pubs, or discussion about cocks random crap that’s been going on in our lives lately.
I don’t have any idea what we’re going to be doing when FF or TF2 comes out, but it looks like, as an e-group of BEST FRIENDS FOREVER, we will be around for some time to come.
So even though this site isn’t particularly active (pester me if you want a poster’s account), there’s pretty much always something going on in IRC. Feel free to stop by when you’re in the mood.

STA finally resolved our dispute against oS^ by giving both clans a strike, and letting us retain the victory. Unfortunately we already had a strike from a forfeit a month or so ago, so one more and we’d be dropped from the league.
This Tuesday we were scheduled to play {ED} on the last week of fry_laser, but due to lack of interest from some, we couldn’t field enough players for the match, so I forfeited it. STA dropped us from the league shortly thereafter, as expected.
The rules state that we can’t reapply for eight weeks, so I guess we’ll see what happens then. Another option would be to join UGC 5v5 but I’ll only do that when I’m sure that we have five reliable players that actually want to play, and right now I really don’t think we do.
So there you have it. From 11 and 2 since the middle of June to getting thrown out of the league, all in less than a week. We are the Corpse Squadron.
Oh well. You know we’ll be back.

This tuesday we played my buddy equ1n0x’s clan “tiny toons”. We joined their server at about 9:20 and found that fry_laser hadn’t been uploaded, and their admin couldn’t upload it. So after yelling out random map names for 20 minutes, we decided to just play hellion again.
Lineup = trife, max, mezo, ilz, and aztec
Round 1 - [CS] wins 70 - 10
Round 2 - [CS] wins 30 - 20
It’s nice to play a clan that doesn’t put on an angry face while playing TFC. Good game tt’.
That puts us at +5 in bronze (+6 if they ever figure out how to resolve a dispute) and I’m afraid they might move us up to silver soon. We’re not ready!! We haven’t won the title!

On Tuesday we played clan xD on the final week of hellion, and despite me and mezo sleeping through the entire thing, we pulled off a convincing win (even while playing 5 vs 4 for round 2).
Round 1 - [CS] 90 - 0
Lineup: shanked, trife, ilz, max, aztec
Round 2 - [CS] 60 - 40

Yes, it’s the return of the weekly ran…er..update. At least until I get bored of it (which may or may not be within the month).
First order of business is the result of our Title Shot match with clan oS^ on hellion.
We decided that we would use the Decepticon’s server round one and oS’s server for round two. wf from oS^ commented that our server was full of choke. I wouldn’t know, as mine is always maxed out at 100, for optimum balance with my packet loss.
Round one featured the following lineup:
Offense - elwood and bootx
Defense - trife, aztec, and mezo
I did absolutely nothing on offense except shoot nails at their defense, and elwood capped eight times despite me constantly being in the way in some form or another. Defense held strong as usual, and oS^ only capped three flags.

Round One - [CS] 80 - 30
For round two, me and mezo switched places and oS^ capped more because I suck so much that I can’t even keep a sentry gun up for more than 45 seconds. Despite that, we still held a small lead until my computer decided to take a giant dump all over itself, forcing me to cold boot it. Mezo took my place on defense when I was gone, and elwood decided to call it a night, so we ran 5 vs 3 pretty much for the last five or six minutes. oS^ decided to take advantage and go all offense, but still couldn’t cap anything. True contenders.
Round Two - oS^ 70 - 60
After the match, I was notified that oS^ had filed a dispute. Max D? Excessive spam? OVO? No…it’s because a couple members had gone into their base during prematch for a short period of time. Whaaatever. I don’t know too much about this sort of thing, so I’ll leave it for the professional team fortress players to figure out.
Funny thing is, the guy that filed the dispute (wf) got owned by me on a pub the night before, and started whining and talking shit to me about it. Better yet? He’s a dispute admin with TFL!
