The Jericho script public beta is going to be released either today or tomorrow. I am done with almost everything, just a few loose ends, and then it will be released to the public.

Remember that this is a beta and that it still has a couple bugs.

Known bugs:

- Some sounds don't work well/at all for unknown reasons (maybe a typo?)
- The match mode can turn on and off, but only once. Still working on that...
- The auto-spy disguise notification doesn't work, but I have a few ideas on why it isn't.

Ever hear of Dark Reign? If you haven't, its the game that would have owned the War Strategy Gaming industry if Blizzard didn't already have a history with WarCraft when they released StarCraft. Anyway.. Dark Reign 2 should be coming out soon, and it will be the first fully 3d War Strategy game.

The Goldeneye Mod is in need of a coder... Biggs isn't able to continue coding the entire mod because of RL issues and needs some help.

If you know anyone who would be able to do this, feel free to pass on the news. Also, if you are a modeler or mapper with some good examples of your work, feel free to go.

First, I haven't been updating much lately because I have been putting some major time into the Jericho script. There should be a public beta (only 1, just to get some opinions on the script) coming out sometime this week.

Second, after going to the latest messages on the board manually because of some wierd error messages that have been coming up lately, I noticed that there was some spam. To make things short, feel free to send all your 'news, match demos, and/or screenshots' of lovely men only dressed with a smile to news@gamepig.com, since it's probably the kind of shit they would like. Apparently this isn't the only site that got the spam...

I just got off my fat ass and did a map review of Moon Cheese, go check it out in the maps section.

I'm still working on the script as usual... I have most of the bugs worked out, but there are still some features I'm working on. I'll give you a rundown on whats left:

- Finish readme
- Nuke bugs (hehe)
- Add more keyboard customization ability
- Make pics for installation exe
- Make installation exe
- Advertise!!

TF2Flak went down for a bit, and the [CS] site went down with it. Backups were made, but there were some configurations that had to be redone. Since you can see this, those configurations have been fixed.

I will have a huge update when I get home.. I will have a new map review, along with files, screens, and possibly a writing depending on how the planets are positioned in comparison to my toilet seat.

I was going to try and get this up awhile ago, but CLQ decided to crash or something, since the only clan listed was '1'

Anyway, [CS] was ranked #13 on the CLQ last week, and although the CLQ really doesnt have anything to do with the skills of your clan since it can only read your frags, its still cool to be at the top.

Last night was very interesting... I'm not going to go into detail, but when we played HoA last night it was more embarrassing then anything that I've experienced in this clan. It has revealed the following problems to me:

1) Lack of a good server (KOV doesn't count, since all the admins decided to mysteriously disappear whenever we needed a server)
2) Lack of dedicated players

An example of #1 is how our server used to ping fairly well, but now it gives people pings of 500 and up, depending on the servers bowel movements that night. We tried playing on it last night, but ended up forfeiting because a few staple players decided to quit because of ping. We would have played on the HoA server if it wasn't bogus the first round (not going into detail there either).

#2 is mainly because people don't go to/stay in the practices (there were 5 people on Tuesday, wtf?) and therefore become very disorganized in the matches.

Anyway, we are taking a 2 week vacation on the OGL (can't do it on STA..) so that we can solve these problems.

Notice to all [CS] members:

We are now looking for the following, and you should be too:

- Excellent (and dedicated) players
- Nice pinging servers (preferably linux)

We already have a few recruits coming in, lets keep the stream going.

Possible solution to server crashes

The [CS] server has recently had near-daily crashes, and Connery may have finally found a solution. What he found was a program that will automatically restart the HLDS whenever it closes within 5 minutes of the server crash. I have sent a message to the server admin along with the program and then we can see if this solution works.....

[CS] STA vs (KAC) Klay Army Clan

Wow! One helluva match here. Coming into the match we didn't know what to expect. Never heard of (KAC), couldn't exactly scout them either.

Round 1: (KAC) 5 [CS] 1 Starting off first round (duh), they had us outnumbered 8-7 most of the match, pings were pretty even. Our Offense was lacking, our D was terrible throughout the match. We got settled, the D that is, about halfway through, but they still got the occasional captures. About a minute before the end of the round we got one cap.. Terrible here...

Round 2 [CS] 14 (KAC) 3 After first round [CS] breaked, reworked the D, reworked the O, and came back to own. This time it was the exact opposite, with [CS] outnumbering them 1-2 ppl almost the whole match. Caps started pouring in immediately. Defense got boring, sent one to O, and we blew the knobs off the doors. D held pretty steady, settling in about 12 minutes into the match to shut them out for the final 15 or so minutes. (KAC) didnt have the defensive power to stop our offense on a mission. Round ends with the first comeback [CS] has put on the floor. GG (KAC)! It was definitely a great game and you guys handled yourself with skill and confidence the whole round. Can't wait to play ya again!

I am currently trying to upgrade the board, and it is (as you can see) taking a while. I hope to have it done before this Sunday, but the program doesn't seem to like the server and may need some tweaking.

I am going to be making a large rant, possibly of SiliconShadow quality (but not as long :), and here's a bit of a preview. It's an IRC log from #goldeneye, which is the channel for the GoldenEye mod. Here's a few facts about this mod:

- A [CS] member, Connery, is the founder of this mod (that's why I'm doing this :)
- A lot of people who play CounterStrike hate GE, mainly because they think it is stealing the map Facility, which can be seen both the GoldenEye movie and N64 game.
- A lot of CStrike people hate GE because of an arguement between the GE and CS staff on the above subject, among others.
